This lifestyle shoot for Liverpool John Moores University follows a group of PhD students through a typical day of postgraduate life. From focused study sessions in the library to social time between lectures, the aim was to capture the friendships and sense of community that sit at the heart of doctoral research at LJMU.
We moved between the campus and Liverpool city centre, using the city’s streets, architecture and waterfront as a natural backdrop. The university prides itself on its civic positioning. We visited Hope Street, the Metropolitan Cathedral and studied over at Copperas Hill Student Life Building. It was great to spend time with these folks and produce an authentic set of images showing what it’s really like to study for a PhD in Liverpool.
