First outing for the 40D to a gig. I was astounded by how much more I can get away with compared with my old 400D, happily shoot at ISO 800-1600 (its pretty dark in the Zanzibar) getting a nice fast shutter. Just a simple crop and BW and thats it. No noise reduction nothing. This would of looked like a mess from my 400D. Love it, I’ve got a ton of other shots that Im working through, may make an appearance on here.

The place was rammed, I shot Mandevlle, went outside to get some air and chill out, by the time I got back in The SCCC had already jammed the front of the stage with fans, couldnt get near! Made sure I didnt make the same mistake for The Laze.

The night ended with some collaborations, this shot is of Dave, Vocalist with The Laze and John, Drummer with Sir John Mandeville.
