I visited the public consultation for the planned boutique hotel and new sailing school in West Kirby yesterday. Just to try and get a look at what its going to look like, I’m pro the idea and think that the current site is in dire need of replacement. The designs aren’t great IMHO I think that both buildings could of looked a lot better, but hey.

The poor lady pictured (3rd shot) was recieving pretty much a torrent of abuse from some older residents who were present. I spoke to her afterward and she said that they had a lot of people coming down to pick fights basically, but there were definatly more people in favour of the plans.

Personally I couldn’t think of anything worse to do on a Saturday afternoon, she really was getting some pointless and unecassary flak. It’s going to be interesting to see how the whole thing pans out.

I’m off to the Maldives tomorrow for 15 days. Can’t wait, have to run and pack now, I’ve purchased one of these instead of an underwater housing for my camera. They look like a lot of fun and its film! :O
